Tadiwanashe Monalisa Kusukwenyu has brought honour to National Handling Services (NHS) and Zimbabwe after successfully completing one of the worldโ€™s most prestigious endurance events, the Comrades Marathon, held in South Africa on Sunday, 14 June 2026.

The race, which started in Durban and finished in Pietermaritzburg, demanded exceptional stamina, focus, and perseverance and Monalisa rose to the challenge with remarkable determination.

Starting in Durban and finishing in Pietermaritzburg, the race tested strength, discipline and determination, qualities Monalisa continues to embody beyond the workplace.

This was her second participation in the event, and she delivered an impressive Sub-9-hour finish, earning the respected Bill Rowan Medal and securing an outstanding back-to-back achievement. Her performance reflects not only athletic excellence but also the discipline, consistency, and resilience that continue to define her journey.

Stationed at Victoria Falls International Airport, Monalisa continues to excel both professionally and personally, serving as an inspiration to colleagues and the wider community. Her achievement is a proud moment for NHS, her family, friends, workmates, and relatives, who gathered to welcome her at RGMI Airport on Tuesday afternoon.

Tadie’s participation in the Comrades Marathon also coincided with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development Intra-Ministerial Sports Tournament an initiative aimed at promoting wellness, teamwork, and unity in the workplace.

Monalisaโ€™s achievement is a powerful reminder that dedication, courage, and consistency can lead to extraordinary results.

Congratulations, Tadie โ€” you have truly flown the NHS and Zimbabwe flag high.

Productive sessions are underway as NHS refines its strategic direction and strengthens its role in Zimbabweโ€™s aviation ecosystem.
